Google AdWords & Conversion Tracking
We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers using advertising material (so-called Google AdWords) on external websites. In relation to the advertising campaigns’ data, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. In doing so, we pursue the interest of displaying advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.
These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, which can be used to measure certain parameters to measure success, such as the displaying of ads or clicks by users. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google AdWords will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. For this cookie, the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed) are usually stored as analysis values.
These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If the user visits certain pages on an AdWord customer’s website and the cookie stored on the computer has not expired yet, Google and the customer are able to see that the user clicked on the advertisement and was referred to this site. Each AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via AdWords customers’ websites. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the advertising measures mentioned. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. These evaluations enable us to identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material, in particular we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct link to the Google server. We have no influence on the amount and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: By integrating AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with one of Google’s services, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider will find out and save your IP address.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) By setting your browser software accordingly, in particular by suppressing third-party cookies, so you do not receive third-party ads; b) By deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, https://www.google.de/settings/ads, this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; c) By deactivating the provider’s interest-based ads that are part of the “About Ads” self-regulatory campaign using the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; d) By permanently disabling them in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser under the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent.
The legal basis for the processing of data is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. You can find further information on data protection at Google here http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacyand https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield,°https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Google Remarketing
Besides AdWords Conversion, we use the Google Remarketing application. This is a procedure we use to address you again. This application allows you to see our advertisements when you continue using the internet after visiting our website. This is done using cookies stored in your browser, which are used by Google to record and evaluate your user behaviour when visiting various websites. As a result, Google can determine your previous visit to our website. Google does not combine data collected in the context of remarketing with your personal data that may be stored by Google, according to its own statements. According to Google, pseudonymisation is specifically used in remarketing.
Google DoubleClick
This website still uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to deliver ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads more than once. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are shown in which browser and can therefore prevent them from being shown more than once. DoubleClick can also use cookie IDs to track conversions related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, if a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later uses the same browser to go to the advertiser’s website and make a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct link to the Google server. We have no influence on the amount and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: By integrating Doubleclick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us.
6(1) GDPR. You can find further information on DoubleClick by Google at https://www.google.de/doubleclick and http://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2839090, as well as on data protection in general at Google: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at°http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield,°https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
